Sketch Sunday 04/12/2015

Hello and a happy Sketch Sunday!

As I promised last week, today I am officially launching my Etsy shop! After a lot of debate, Amy and I settled on calling it 'Bacon Customs', as that's a very accurate description of what you can get there; I'm offering portraits in either pencil, ink, or color. They can be of you, your friends, your family, or even your pets! As well, you can be drawn into any background you wish - be it an alien landscape from Star Trek or a destination back here on earth that you wish you could visit. Check it out by clicking the link under the banner below!

But since it is Sketch Sunday and I need to post a sketch, here is an oldie - a portrait of my pal Stoo Odom I did for his birthday way back in 2009, and one the reasons I decided to start doing portraits for my Etsy shop, as this my first.

  2. That is a really cool and welcome change of pace. Etsy usually features minimalist stuff or things that focuses more of paints and pastel colors, so it's refreshing to see some good ol' ink and linework of alternative comics. This is also a great move on your part, as online shops are fast becoming an even more viable market medium. We do live in interesting times, where little to nothing is set in stone. Good luck!

  3. Bacon Customs is such a good name for your etsy, Waylon. I know it’s after your surname, but it also make it sound like your portraits are yummy to look at. Hahah! Well, your cartoons are indeed pleasant looking, so I say your business is aptly named. Keep your Etsy shop updated! :-)
