The Cinematic Badlands Of Berkeley

While attempting to solicit reviews for 'Help Wanted', I contacted Cinesource Magazine, who had previously written about 'My Worst Nightmare' back in 2009 ( 'Berkland Resident Wins Mastermind Grant'). It turns out the Cinesource doesn't do film reviews. However, editor Doniphan Blair wondered if maybe I could write a short piece about the film scene in Berkeley instead?

I'm not much of a journalist, but I wrote it out, Doniphan smoothed over the edges, and it's now up on their web page for all to see! As well, I contributed a few cartoons to make the piece more interesting.

Filmmakers profiled include Jeff Lunzaga, who puts on the BCM Horror Film Festival , and Kamala Appel, who was ran my first film class back in the mid-90's!
