The Ride Pre-Production Journal #3

The last two weeks have been spent creating excel spread sheets so I can make lists; shot lists, props lists, fx lists ...I just like to have everything broken down, as it will inevitably help me get a better understanding of all the ins and outs of my production.

I've also been spending quite a bit of time trying to work out our permit/insurance situation for our locations, a job that has thankfully been made so much easier by Joel (producer) and Brad (1st A.D), who have a better understanding of all that madness than I do. More on that later.

In the meantime, below is a video of our location scout in November. Joel had brought along his camera, and filmed a little bit of us wandering around Riverside. He just sent me the edited footage, which I've uploaded to Vimeo and am now posting here.
